The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan issued a decree aimed at simplifying the procedures for transit through the territory of Uzbekistan.

As stated in the Presidential Decree № UP-5366 "On measures for further simplification of transit procedures through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan", in order to develop the country's transport capacity and the formation of reliable transport transit corridors beginning from March 1, 2018 the order of issuance of the permit by the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan for transit transportation of excisable products by road and rail through the territory of the republic has been canceled.

In addition, the President's Decree provides for the cancellation of the procedure for the carrier to deposit the amount of money security equivalent to customs duties for the import of alcohol and tobacco products on the account of the customs authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
