MAN AUTO-Uzbekistan starts exports of its products.
MAN AUTO-Uzbekistan, an Uzbek-Germany joint venture, started to export special vehicles to Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Russia, general manager of advertisement and marketing of the venture Alisher Alikulov said.
In interview to Pravda Vostoka newspaper, Alisher Alikulov said trucks and dump trucks are the bestsellers of the venture.
He said that the venture regularly works on equipping vehicles with various types of trailers and equipment. There is high demand for trucks, used in automobile road industry, refrigerators, fuel and water transporters, etc.
Alisher Alikulov noted that the venture currently produces 44 types of trucks and the company can satisfy demands of majority enterprises.
He said that JV MAN Auto-Uzbekistan produces three thousands of tucks a year and soon the production volume will double.
JV MAN Auto-Uzbekistan was set up on 29 August 2009. The founders are Uzavtosanoat (51%) and MAN Truck & Bus AG (49%). In July 2012, the plant on production of MAN trucks has been launched in Samarkand region.
The plant can produce up to 5,000 MAN vehicles and it is planned to increase the capacity up to 10,000 vehicles a year.
Overall, it is expected that the capacity of new plant will reach 20,000 units of vehicles a year. The project will be financed due to investments of founders and loans.
