Sino-Russian-Korean shipping line moves 988 container in one year
The container shipping line calling at China's Hunchun, Russia's Zarubino and South Korea's Sokcho has moved 988 containers since it started operation in March 2013.
Among these 988 boxes, 399 were imports and 589 were exports. Imported goods were mainly kitchen wares, textile, and electric wires. Exports products were mainly garments and fish, said Xinhua's report.
The shipping line has carried more than 10,000 passengers in the past year.
The Hunchun-Zarubino-Sokcho shipping route, 316 nautical miles long, is a route with the shortest distance between northeast China, Russian Far East and east coast of South Korea. It carries both cargo and passengers and mainly shipments from northeast China to Korea.
The line uses one cargo/passenger ship that can carry 182 containers and 750 passengers, and offers two sailings per week. A ship sets off from Sokcho arrives at Zarubino the next day. From Zarubino to Hunchun is 71 kilometres.
